Print-ready checklist

Is Your PDF Ready to Become a Book?

A file that looks correct on a screen can still have problems when it is trimmed, folded and bound. Use this checklist before uploading.

Standard project

  • One full-color hardcover copy
  • 24–40 interior pages
  • Interior pages supplied as one PDF
  • Cover supplied in the requested template
  • No passwords or printing restrictions

Interior PDF

  • All pages use the same dimensions
  • Single pages in reading order, not reader spreads
  • Important content stays inside safe margins
  • Edge-to-edge artwork includes bleed
  • Images are about 300 DPI at final size
  • Fonts are embedded
  • No crop marks unless requested

Cover file

  • Front, spine and back follow the provided template
  • Spine matches the final page count
  • Important text stays inside the safe area
  • Background artwork reaches the bleed
  • No guides or placeholder text remain

What We Check

We flag common technical printing risks such as inconsistent dimensions, obvious low-resolution images, unsafe margins, missing bleed, page-count issues, font warnings and cover incompatibility.

What We Do Not Check

Spelling, grammar, facts, story quality, copyright ownership, image licensing, exact screen-to-print color or creative design preferences remain the customer’s responsibility.
