The handoff gap

Some clients want a private keepsake, presentation copy or physical reference book. They may not need distribution, an ISBN or a large print run. They may simply want someone to check the files, explain the preparation plan and let them approve a digital proof before production.
The path to one hardcover
We check and correct the file, prepare the interior layout and cover, provide a digital proof with revisions before approval, and produce one hardcover with standard tracked shipping. All these services are included for $99 per copy.
Publishing and distribution

The adult client sends the finished interior and an optional cover for a free human file check.

We inspect the file and explain the preparation plan before payment. All book services are included in the $99 per-copy price.

Approve
If the client continues, they pay $99 per copy and review a digital production proof. Revisions before approval are included.

Receive
After proof approval, one hardcover is produced and sent with standard tracked shipping.

Usually a fit
- The customer is an adult and controls the project.
- The text and artwork are finished or nearly finished.
- The customer has the right to reproduce every element.
- The desired outcome is one hardcover, private proof or keepsake.
- The customer can approve a digital proof before production.
Usually not a fit
- The customer still needs original writing or illustration.
- The main goal is ISBN registration, retail distribution or royalties.
- The customer needs bulk-print economics.
- The format, destination or deadline has not been confirmed.
- Rights to reproduce the material are unclear.
